Oracle pushes Asianux in North Asia

Shanghai: Oracle is pushing for Asianux to be the standardised Linux OS for North Asia. More than a month after Asianux, developed by Red Flag and Miracle Linux, was launched, Oracle has extended its Unbreakable Support Programme to the OS.

Charles Phillips, Oracle’s president, made the announcement at Oracle OpenWorld here. As a result of Asianux’s inclusion in the Unbreakable Support Programme, Asianux customers who run Oracle applications on the operating environment can now receive direct and global support from Oracle when critical issues arise.

The other Linux OSes Oracle is supporting are Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Novell/SuSE Enterprise Linux.
