The race to come up with such flexible “electronic paper” is a highly competitive one, with huge profits awaiting the winner. Royal Philips Electronics took a big step in this direction, announcing Wednesday that it has developed a viable, but primitive, video screen with the properties of paper. The secret: the scientists were able to use plastic transistor technology.”
