PHP Programming Innovation Award

Author: PHP Classes repository

Manuel Lemos writes “PHP Programming Innovation Award is an initiative meant to honor PHP developers that make outstanding contributions in the form of innovative classes of objects.

The initiative has three main goals: encourage regular contributors to focus efforts contributing innovative components instead of duplicating the function of previously contributed classes, motivate more skilled developers to share their work that otherwise would not participate, and encourage other sites and companies to start similar initiatives, hopefully different than this, that may foster the growth of PHP Open Source community by motivating skilled developers to share more valuable work.

Any PHP developer can participate with their classes even if they were already published in other sites. The initiative is repeated every month. Winning developers may gain prizes provided by well known sponsors companies that develop products for PHP developers. The nominees of this month were already announced.”
