“PIKA InLine MM-series cards support Microsoft Windows 2000/XP and Red Hat Linux 7.3.

Ottawa, Canada, August 13, 2003 – PIKA Technologies Inc. proudly announces availability of PIKA InLine MM-series analog-interface headset/handset cards. The InLine MM-series voice and fax cards support PIKA Technologies’ latest and greatest software development kit (SDK), PIKA MonteCarlo 6.1, which transparently supports both Windows and Linux development environments. The InLine MM completes the company’s transition of their portfolio to next-generation, analog and digital MM-series cards all supported by MonteCarlo 6.x.

The InLine MM is a 4-port, half-length analog card with a PCI interface. The highly flexible card allows developers to select a configuration appropriate to the needs of their specific application. It’s available in a 3-line plus headset configuration and a 4-line configuration. MonteCarlo 6.1 delivers software support for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP and Red Hat Linux 7.3. The card is a cost effective choice to support a wide range of capabilities from the needs of basic voice
applications to enhanced speech applications.

“While our existing InLine card continues to meet the needs of most of our markets, we saw the demand for a Linux-supported InLine, including fax capabilities,
increasing in North America,” said Terry Atwood, Vice President Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, PIKA Technologies. “The result is a reasonably priced card that allows developers to work in either a Windows or Linux environment to build low-density computer telephony applications. As of today, we offer MM-series cards in each of our product lines: PIKA Daytona (analog), PIKA PrimeNet (digital), and PIKA InLine (analog headset/handset). The competitive pricing and free technical support are key reasons the InLine is so popular with developers.”

“Our search for a cost effective headset/handset card brought us to PIKA Technologies,” said Raffi Barat, Manager, Bar-Net Software Ltd. “Designing the InLine MM into our field communications application went smoothly. The product is already being used by our customers.”

PIKA InLine MM-series cards are available immediately in North America. Please contact sales at +1-613-591-1555 or sales@pikatech.com for more information.
