PIKA voice cards and SDK support Red Hat Linux 7.3

Ottawa, Canada, June 26, 2003 PIKA Technologies Inc. proudly rolls out support for Red Hat 7.3 in its new release of the PIKA MonteCarlo 6.1 software developer kit (SDK). The new release is built on the companys successful MonteCarlo 6 technology and will also be released for Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP.

MonteCarlo 6.1 is transparently supported between Windows and Linux environments giving developers access to the complete line of PIKA MM-series cards, no matter which development platform they choose. PIKA MM-series cards include:

· PIKA PrimeNet MM PCI (digital interface; supports 1, 2, or 4 E1/T1 [ISDN or CAS] spans; supports 1 or 2 logging spans)
· PIKA PrimeNet MM cPCI (digital interface; supports 4 or 8 E1/T1 [ISDN or CAS] spans)
· PIKA Daytona MM PCI (analog interface; configurable from 4 to 24 line circuits; available as trunk, station, or trunk/station combinations; supports logging)

As a long-time customer of PIKA hardware products, we were familiar with MonteCarlo 6, said Larry Westrick, President, RSVP. We found MonteCarlo 6.1 a breeze to work with, as the API is virtually the same as MonteCarlo 6. The only difference is that it supports Linux.

Developers throughout the world have been designing PIKA hardware and software into their applications for 16 years, said Terry Atwood, Vice President Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, PIKA Technologies. Our ongoing product enhancements reinforce our commitment to continually incorporate new functionality that developers require to voice- and fax-enable next generation voice services applications, audio recorders, PC-PBXs, and conferencing applications.

The roll out of PIKA MonteCarlo 6.1 begins immediately. Please contact sales at +1-613-591-1555 or sales@pikatech.com for more information.

Application developers are invited to register for the FREE PIKA MonteCarlo 6.1 Architectural Overview Webinar. Select from one of three dates, July 15, 16 or 17, at www.pikatechnologies.com.
