Red Hat announces validation of Red Hat Linux for Oracle

Red Hat, Inc. (Nasdaq:RHAT), the leader in developing,
deploying and managing open source solutions, today announced completion of the validation of Red Hat Linux 7.1 for
Oracle9i Database and Oracle9i Application Server. In addition, the validation of Red Hat Linux with other versions of
Oracle software products is expected to be completed by the end of September. As a result of these efforts, Red Hat will
support Red Hat Linux for use with Oracle software and Oracle will support Oracle software on Red Hat Linux.In addition to the work already completed to validate and test Oracle9i products, Red Hat will validate future releases of Red
Hat Linux as technologically appropriate for Oracle software products.
