Red Hat, OLPC hurt wireless documentation efforts

Deanna Phillips writes “Theo de Raadt and other memebers of the OpenBSD project offer strong criticism of the Red Hat – One Laptop Per Child agreement with Marvell to supply the OLPC project with closed source wireless devices whost documentation is only available by NDA.

This agreement calls into question the motivation behind the OLPC project, which many people believed to be based on the idea of using Free and Open Source software as a way of changing the world. Considering how much money will be and has already changed hands here, the integrity of the project itself, and Red Hat in particular, is debatable.”
