Kelly McNeill writes “osViews has a very short but interesting editorial which asks, “When you define innovation, would you say that its simply providing a solution or is it advancing the status quo?” I personally adopt the latter definition and thought that most others would agree with me on that… that is, at least until recently. Research companies Cheskin and Fitch:Worldwide surveyed over 500 senior business executives to ask who are the most innovative companies today? The results seem pretty accurate (IMHO) except for the number 1-3 slots. Microsoft was cited most frequently as one of today’s most innovative companies (137 mentions), followed by Dell (47 mentions), Apple (40 mentions).”
