In a post-Thanksgiving sale, retailer Fry’s Electronics Inc. advertised a personal computer for $99.99, a price that made even industry analysts gasp.
The same weekend, Best Buy Inc. was selling a feature-laden $199 computer, said Toni Duboise, a researcher at Current Analysis who spotted the ads in a San Diego newspaper.
