Review: Cisco IOS Cookbook, 2nd Ed.

James Pyles writes “I don’t really think of myself as a recipe book reviewer but I guess I am today. I thought I was going to need a forklift to get Dooley and Brown’s Cisco IOS Cookbook from my shelf to my desk but I managed to shlep it there on my own. There’s a reason this tome weighs in at 1207 pages (which is much larger than the original). It has to be thorough.

Going through this book was like a trip down memory lane and then some. I remember when I first got my hands on a small Cisco lab back in the day and configured my first router via TFTP. Of course, that’s a fairly minor task compared to everything this “cookbook” contains.”
