Roll up for the UKUUG Linux Technical Conference

Between 5 and 8 August 2004 the fair city of Leeds will host the annual UKUUG Linux Technical Conference , described as “a great way to broaden your knowledge and keep up-to-date with what’s happening in the world of linux”.

We’re sure that it will be, and doubtless a “great way to take large quantities of real ale with fellow penguins” to boot.

Btw, UKUUG is not – as you might imagine – the proto-Indoeuropean term for “mammoth”, but rather the unappealing acronym for the UK Unix Users’ Group – old mates of El Reg who we’re delighted to support this year as one of the conference’s media sponsors.
