Anonymous Reader writes: “It seems that Open Source groups in the Philippines are heading into a battle against Microsoft, with Microsoft’s recent pronouncements (or FUD) about OSS being costly for the Philippines. The Open Minds Philippines reacted to this and came out with their guns blazing. This will be the initial salvo of the heating up debate about use of open source in the Philippines. Microsoft has been telling the Philippine government that Open source will stop the growth of its local software industry. Open Minds stepped up to prove that Microsoft is all wrong.”
