At a glittering ceremony organised at Sahara Shaher, Lucknow on Friday, the range of various products was unveiled by Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav, Hon’ble Chief Minister of U.P., Dr Essop Pahad, Minister of Presidency, Govt of South Africa, Shri Amar Singh, Respected Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Development Council, Shri Ajay Gupta, Chairman, Sahara Computers (Pty) Ltd., South Africa, Shri Subrata Roy Sahara, Managing Worker and Chairman, Sahara India Pariwar and Shri Ajay Marathe, President, India Operations, AMD.
The occasion was graced by Shri Kapil Dev, Wisden Indian Cricketer of the Century & former captain, Indian cricket team, Shri Anil Kapoor, Famous Indian Cine Star and Shri Raj Babbar, Cine Star & MP, Lok Sabha. The event concluded with a grand cultural programme, which had a foot-tapping dance recital by Shri Shiamak Davar and his troupe that enlivened the ambience with its rhythmic robustness, followed by a Gala Dinner.
The product range of Sahara Desktop Systems, Sahara Notebooks and Sahara Server Systems shall be launched in the last quarter of this year.
The company is in process of establishing a vast network of regional offices to facilitate Sales & Marketing. 25 C&F stockists and a Service Centre are also being finalized.
The main infrastructure/office set-up will be in/around Noida, Uttar Pradesh, which shall have facilities for Warehousing, Logisitics, Reasearch & Development, warranty/RMA, Software Development – Sales & Support, Call Centre and a Sports & Recreation Centre. For the primary activities it is coming up with an initial set-up at Haridwar, Uttranchal.
