Anonymous Reader writes “CEO Darl McBride now acknowledges that SCO has hired attorney David Boies to investigate a complex set of legal issues, in particular whether the company has legal claims against other operating system vendors (including Linux and Microsoft) based on its Unix intellectual property. McBride says the collection of royalties from unlicensed SCO shared libraries is “the tip of the iceberg as there are so much IP we’re dealing with here, ranging from copyright, trade secrets, patents, source code and licensing issues.””
