Shares in Utah’s SCO Group soared 24 percent Friday as investors anticipated passage of a deadline for resolution of the company’s $1 billion lawsuit against IBM.
With both parties declaring they will stand firm in the dispute over use of the Linux operating system, the Lindon-based SCO’s shares peaked at $11.95 before closing at $11.21 Friday — up $2.16 from Thursday’s trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
