Anonymous Reader writes “The Scribus Team, led by Franz Schmid, is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.1.6. The 1.1.6 release is the most stable, feature complete version of Scribus to date. This release is a short detour on the road to the release of a stable 1.2 Scribus. This was prompted by the decision of SuSE to to prominently highlight Scribus, as a “professional DTP application”, in its upcoming SuSE 9.1 Professional. Although, marked a developer’s release,the Scribus team urges all users and distros to upgrade this latest release. For the first time, the Scribus team has also provided Fedora-1, SuSE 9.0 and Debian pre-built packages and SRPMS.
