Security Enhanced Linux Distribution

Loretta Gust writes “November 18, 2003 – Westcam, Inc. is proud to announce the availability of a
fully functioning distribution of Security Enhanced Linux – one of the most
secure Linux implementations. Security Enhanced (SELinux) is currently being
developed as part of a research initiative within the National Security Agency
(NSA). In January 2000, the NSA shook the intelligence and IT community by announcing
the development and release of SE Linux under the GNU General Public License.

Westcam, Inc. has done the work of combining a Linux kernel, FreeS/WAN IPSEC,
auditing, utilities, and Security Enhanced Linux patches and produced a fully
functioning distribution for both community and industry. Consistent with open-source
programs, Westcam’s version of SELinux is being released as an open source distribution.
Westcam, Inc. has not installed any copyrighted software from Westcam.

The three-CD set is available for immediate purchase and shipment. For a limited
time, shipping within the continental US for the three-CD set is free. For more
information or to purchase, please visit www.securityenhancedlinux.com.”
