Server sales hit by slowdown

The Industry Standard: “Slowing economies in the
U.S. and Western Europe continued to hurt sales
of high-end, midrange servers, with the once
robust market seeing only minimal growth in the
second quarter, according to research released
Thursday by Dataquest Inc.

Preliminary figures from the San Jose,
California-based research company showed that
the worldwide server market grew only 0.7
percent during the quarter in terms of units
shipped.”
