Jon Stewart’s recent visit to CNN’s “Crossfire” to admonish the two hosts for fueling partisan quackery has struck a chord for two reasons. First, the guy is just funny. I’m sure that he could fall asleep at a party and get more laughs than most of us, certainly me. Second, his point seems valid. Political discourse seems more strident, more polarized, and more irreconcilable than ever before — and it’s got a lot of people worried.
