Size Can Matter: Ramdisk Journal Metadata Performance – Part 2


In a previous article we took a look at metadata performance and found that regardless of whether the journal was on a separate disk or a ramdisk performance was almost the same. However, the size of the journal was very small compared to the size of the file system (0.0032%) perhaps impacting performance.
