Microsoft executives made soothing noises at this week’s Open Source Conference in San Diego. While Craig Mundie spoke softly about the “software ecosystem” and Microsoft’s concerns about the GNU Public License and its own shared source initiatives, Red Hat CTO Michael Tiemann fired back, calling shared source nothing more than a treaty designed to quell Microsoft’s internal civil war.
