Spotlight on Developing Countries

NZheretic writes “In the technological realm it seems that over thirty per cent of the world’s Internet servers run on Linux software. Most developing countries can get their hands on PCs – and there are a lot of those which are surplus in the last twelve months – but generally they have problems getting capital to move up into mid and mainframe systems. The alternative has been to link PC’s into farms operating on Linux software and the results prove, so the report states, that performance matches the pace of higher grade systems.”
