Anonymous Reader writes “IBM has updated their Linux based technology STEM (Spatiotemporal Epidemiological Modeler) enabling spatiotemporal modeling of infectious agents across the United States, providing scientists and public health officials with a powerful tool for understanding, and potentially preventing, the spread of infectious diseases with help from TIGER files. Version 3.1 contains additional maps (including Canada), performance enhancements, and many new improvements to the user interface.”
