ZDNet has the Gartner viewpoint about the office suite that many Linux users have been using for years. “Version 5.2 wasn’t good enough for most users because of a ‘clunky’ user-interface desktop implementation and subpar compatibility with Microsoft Office. Version 6.0 is much more promising. Sun has removed the desktop and made the interface easier to understand. More importantly, it has improved compatibility with Microsoft Office, which still will be less than perfect; however, many enterprises may deem it good enough for certain users.”
