Is there a summer lull in IT any more?
mstansberry writes "A recent article mentioned virtualization vendor VMware had been busy this summer, adding partners, working on standards and promoting its per-socket pricing structure. But VMware isn't the only one. IBM launched a new mainframe, Sun just put out the new Galaxy servers. Maybe it works out better for companies to make major announcements during the dog days when the competition is supposed to be asleep. But is there a summer lull in the IT world anymore?"
