Tokyo's Meguro City installs Linux-based intranet, cites low cost
Anonymous Reader writes "Tokyo's Meguro City has is running its intranet system using the Linux OS. Nikkei quotes a city spokeperson explaining that the choice of Linux was based on "our belief that it can reduce costs substantially for creating an intranet system. Indeed, we were able to save more than 5 million yen in the project" (116.08 yen = US$1)."
