Linux, for the most part, does not really have many tools to work with tape devices (except for the native tar, cpio, dump, mt, etc. This is not to say that there are not some very good commercial tools available, because there are. We are reviewing one such tool today. It is TOLIS Group’s flagship product, the BRU-Pro backup and recovery utility.”
