Tonight LIVE on
www.thelinuxshow.com — At 6pm pt, 7pm mt, 8pm ct, and 9pm et…. Kevin Hill, Jeff Gerhardt, PJ Hyett, Doc Searls(Linux Journal), and Arne Flones have a show lined up tonight on The Linux Show that may not be a train wreck!!
In Segment One – Hot News: We will be covering the hot Linux news of
the last few weeks. In particular, we will talk about HP buying Compaq. Plus we will give an update on our finally completed conversion to Ogg Vorbis.

In Segments Two- Linux World Expo Wrap Up
Well the most recent Linux World Expo is in the history books. We will discuss the buzz on the Linux Industries showcase event with Doc Searls and Russ Pavlicek. Is this indeed “The End of the Beginning” (and not the beginning of the end) as many have predicted, and a real sign of good things to come in the future?

In Segments Three (if we have time)- “Microsoft, Linux and the Fat Lady PART V”- or Contrary to many opinions, Linux is far from over and Microsoft still has a very very long road ahead
This is PART FIVE of a segment that will carry over the next several weeks.

This week we will focus on the aftermath of the 10th anniversary of the creation of Linux. Many in mainstream media were caught off guard by the staying power of Linux to survive to its 10th anniversary. It caused many to re-focus on Linux and look at the ongoing impact in light of present economic trends. Is it possible that a recession may do for Linux what wall street could not???

Other opinions are welcome at GeekCast. If you would like to join us on the show, check our IRC Chat(irc.thelinuxshow.com #linuxshow).

Remember tune in at 6pm pt, 7pm mt, 8pm ct, and 9pm et.
