Ubuntu 4.10 Warty Warthog; The Linux Desktop IS ready

88

I have dabbled with Linux for the last several years, with varying measures of success. Originally, Linux interested me for the “freedom from Windows endorphin rush” it gave (what a high man, what a high!). It was also great for the older hardware I was running; a P2 266 with 6 gig drive and 128meg’s of RAM. I had played with Red Hat 7.2 but felt in over my head as a Linux newbie. What finally stuck with me was Mandrake- first 8.2, then 9. I have since upgraded my hardware, and my Linux distro as well.
