Linspire, the company that most linux geeks hate, has released another version of their Operating System. Linspire 5 was released about two weeks ago with a lot of excitement and hype surrounding the new version. Before we delve into whether Linspire 5 lives up to it’s hype, let me explain my review system. The system is going to be based on a 10-point scale with 10 being perfect. I’m going to look at 5 areas of Linspire which are Installation, Look and Feel, Hardware Compatibility, Sound, and Applications. Linspire 5 will start out with a score of 10 and points will be deducted for things, I don’t care for.
