Chuck Talk writes “Much has been made of the SCO Group’s filing for the UNIX System Laboratories Trademark. In fact, there are those who have speculated that the company was attempting to dilute the ownership of the UNIX trademark by X/Open also known as The Open Group. While the purpose of the filing can be speculated upon and discussed ad nauseum, the fact is that the SCO Group are attempting to take by proxy that which they do not own.”
