My computer books on mySQL and PHP have arrived but it’s too early to pass along any words of wisdom. I downloaded and tried to install the latest version of the Apache server on my XP machine, but something in Windows was stopping the service from starting, so that will be an interesting debugging session. Instead I will probably find a clean machine, install some flavour of Linux and start from there instead.
