Kelly McNeill writes “Most people learn definitions by context. As a child, it’s doubtful you read a dictionary before you learned to speak. Children growing up today, as well as most adults, are learning a strange definition for “the Internet.” Poll a dozen adults, or a dozen journalists, and you’ll find the most common definition of the Internet involves words like “Web page,” “portal,” “AOL,” “Yahoo” and “browser.””
