Ladislav Urban writes "Sacramento, CA, May 14 2007: Webswell introduces open source Webswell Business Hub, a multi-protocol hub solution that allows exchange of business documents like orders or invoices in highly heterogeneous environments where business partners use mutually incompatible data formats and messaging protocols.
Webswell Business Hub serves as a mediator in such scenario, where it receives original messages from the sender, transforms them and sends transformed messages to the recipient.
Currently supported messaging types:
ebXML (via http/https and smtp)
AS2 (via http/https)
email (smtp, for small businesses)
Webswell Business Hub supports XML-based messages and EDI-based messages (EDIFACT, ANSI X.12) and is able to translate the message of one type to another.
Webswell Business Hub is intended for:
Conglomerates with heterogeneous IT infrastructure
Bodies that act as a business mediators (brokers, e-marketplaces, e-procurement)
