n30g30 writes “Whax isn’t long out of beta stage, but there are already plenty of reviews popping up. most of them however are sparse, and merely explain that Whax is the evolution of Whoppix, which was built on the Debian based Knoppix live distribution (distro) whereas Whax is now built on Slax, which is a live distro based on Slackware. Some of them even mention that it was the modularity of Slax that drew the team to make this change.

Well, thats all well and good, but if i don’t know the difference between Debian, Knoppix, Slax, Slackware and so on, then it doesn’t mean much to me. And if i haven’t used Whoppix before, then i’m even more in the dark.”
