Why SOA providers poised to pounce on anticipated demand
Projections for significant investments in service-oriented architectures (SOA) over the next year bode well for providers of applicable solutions. According to the Yankee Group, 75 percent of top enterprise decision-makers are preparing to make large SOA investments. The research firm's survey of 437 U.S. enterprises in the wireless, health care, financial services, and manufacturing sectors -- as well as its related report "The Tipping Point: Service-Oriented Architectures Are Shifting the Integration Paradigm to a Loosely Coupled Enterprise Framework" -- shows that firms are taking SOA seriously.
