Along the way, the author witnesses driver incompatibilities with 2k and XP and some other software incompatibilities, while its price is much steeper than Win2k. On the other hand, the OS proves to be super-solid (on fully supported hardware) while it is the fastest (‘responsive’) modern OS so far, the author claims. In all fairness, it seems that Microsoft did a pretty good job this time, but for what price?”
