CNET News.com reports that Microsoft will not support USB 2.0 in its Windows XP operating system, choosing Apple’s IEEE 1394 protocol instead. In a written statement, a Microsoft press representative said “Microsoft will not ship support for a standard that they can’t guarantee a great user experience on.”
