WinFS-like Storage for Linux
Guest writes "Just one week after Microsoft cancelling WinFS as a standalone product comes the announcement of a similar project for Linux. GLS³: an augmented storage abstraction for GNU/Linux that has been in development for around a year. It allows end-users and developers to organize and search through the data based on their semantics, metadata and contents. Some of the features include real-time searching, developer schemas and a pesudo file system for backward compatibility."
