Ximian appoints Todd Miceli as CFO

Ximian, Inc., the leading open source desktop
company (formerly known as Helix Code, Inc.), announced today that Todd
Miceli has joined the company as its chief financial officer. At
Ximian, Miceli will be responsible for the company’s financial direction.

“Todd brings an outstanding balance of business strategy and financial
expertise to our organization,” said Nat Friedman, CEO and co-founder
of Ximian. “In his previous positions, Todd played an integral role in
aggressively raising capital, driving company growth and structuring and
negotiating profitable strategic partnerships. His breadth of
experience will be invaluable as Ximian continues its path toward building a
world-class business.”

Miceli joins Ximian from Viveca, Inc., where he served as CEO and
president, leading the corporate restructuring and strategic repositioning
of the company and managing all aspects of the company’s sale. Prior to
serving as CEO and president, Miceli was CFO of Viveca.

Previously, Miceli was vice president of finance and a founding
employee of e-Steel Corporation; vice president of business development and
strategic planning at GE Capital Mortgage Corporation; vice president of
the Corporate Finance Group at Jefferies & Company, Inc.; and principal
of the Investment Banking Group at Southcoast Capital Corporation.

Miceli received a B.S. in Finance from Bentley College and an M.B.A.
from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Administration at the
University of Rochester.
