Inc.), today announced the appointment of David Patrick as the company’s president and chief executive officer. Patrick brings more than 20 years of
sales, marketing and operations experience in the software industry. At Ximian, he will provide strategic direction and oversee the company’s
operations worldwide. Patrick joins a rapidly expanding management team, which is also adding industry veterans in finance, marketing and business
development positions.
Nat Friedman, who co-founded Ximian with chief technology officer Miguel de Icaza, will move from the CEO role to vice president of product
management, further rounding out the company’s management structure.
