CNET is reporting that it’s not only RLX that’s coming out with Transmeta-based servers. And the reason for that is… to save power and resources in Silicon Valley.

From Wired: “A new operating system can be customized to appear however you want it to. Athena will run on Macs, Windows or Linux, and uses XML components to change its appearance.” Can it be all things to all people? Supposedly, developers can write one source code base that will work on all those kernels, without modifications. Sounds like a tall order.

Until now, Flash was primarily an animation tool, rarely utilized for video because it took hours or days to create even short clips.
