Intel dubs 2000 a record year, but near-term future not good

Network World Fusion: “Despite dubbing fiscal 2000 overall a “record” year for both earnings and revenue, Intel Tuesday announced revised fourth-quarter financial results and said it expects first-quarter results to be adversely hit by current economic uncertainty. The company also revealed that it plans to close a manufacturing plant in Puerto Rico as a way to cut costs.”

are now favorites of investors both in Bombay and in New York. Indian
officials are talking grandly of turning the country into an

Fujitsu debuts notebook with Bluetooth handset

remote terminal that allows users to check their mail and control the
PC.

Looking very much like a cellphone, the i-Point handheld terminal
maintains a Bluetooth link to the personal computer and allows the
user to perform some basic functions such as controlling the CD
drive and Web browser.”
