Your local telco will have to come up with a different excuse to deny your request for DSL service. EE Times reports “Symmetricom Inc. said independent testing of its GoLong asymmetric digital
subscriber line extenders has shown that the technology can more than double the reach of an ADSL
connection from the central office, from 14,000 feet to 30,000 feet.”

From CNET News.com: “NetZero, a provider of free Internet access, sued AT&T’s WorldNet service for allegedly infringing technology used to
display messages or advertisements for as long as a customer stays online.”

student and confiscated computer equipment last month.”
