At Linux Today: Alan Cox posts the latest updates for Linux kernel 2.4.0prerelease-ac4.

“A vulnerability exists in Emacs 20.6 and prior that allows any user on a multiuser system to eavesdrop
on, or forge responses to, an Emacs client. The vulnerability stems from Emacs’ failure to properly set

From ZDNet: “Linus Torvalds, the “father” of the Linux operating
system, sent testers and developers a 2.4 prerelease
kernel over the weekend. While Torvalds had previously said he hoped to release
the final code for the 2.4 kernel by the end of December,
testers got the prerelease instead.”
