SEC may be focusing on VA Linux in IPO probe

CNET reports: “VA Linux (owners of Newsforge) confirmed that authorities asked for documents related to its public offering, including
correspondence between the company and Credit Suisse First Boston. Other Wall Street firms have
also received requests from the SEC for detailed information on how they allocated offerings, and to
whom, during the past two years. The companies have until Monday to respond, the newspaper said,
citing Wall Street executives.”
