Reuters reports: “Internet music company MP3.com Inc. plans to restart the once-contentious My.MP3.com service by the end of
November and, for the first time, will charge a fee for the service, the company’s chief executive said Wednesday.

My.MP3.com, which allows users to store music and play it back using a computer, was shut down in May after a U.S. district
court held that a database of 80,000 albums copied by MP3.com — an integral part of the service — violated copyright law.” More from The Register.
