According to this article from the Toronto Star, statistics gathered by security research group Attrition show Linux-based Web sites are four times more likely to suffer online vandalism than they were just three months ago.

The Australian government has had the legal power to shut down Web sites it doesn’t like for six months now, but AustralianIT says they’ve only actually closed 16 so far in reation to 160 complaints they’ve received.

The Register is amused but not surprised by this phenomenon. One paragraph in the story says, “Yeah, right. Sony has such a knack of pitching demand predictions just below the
