HP is expanding is Linux plans, as reported by CNET. These changes included ensuring they use supported devices in their computers, helping Linuxcare product a PA-RISC port of the Linux kernel, and porting HP services software (such as OpenMail) to Linux.

The BSD Birds Of a Feather announced the group will meet during Linux World Aug. 16. (As posted to BSDi announce mailing list.) Representatives from FreeBSD, BSD/OS, and the Darwin group will attend, and it is hoped that individuals from NetBSD and OpenBSD will also be there.
