PlayStation 2 video game console for worldwide release following a Japanese launch over
the summer.

TOKYO, Japan – October 23, 2001 – The Open Source Development Lab (OSDL)has hired Shinji Takazawa to head the soon-to-be-opened sub-lab outside Tokyo, Japan. Takazawa, who has a long history of leadership in the Linux community, will manage the day-to-day operations of the sub-lab, which is scheduled to open later this year.
